Hitting the high notes
The Ballantrae Trust’s next performance in partnership with the Ayrshire Rural Touring Network is “Celtic Christmas Strings” in Ballantrae Parish Church this Saturday, December 8 at 7.30pm.
Trust Chairman Andy McAlpine said:“We are looking forward to welcoming Maire Ni Chathasaigh and Chris Newman with harp and guitar to Ballantrae as we count down to Christmas.
We understand their repertoire includes a blend of traditional Irish music, swing jazz and bluegrass plus festive favourites with a fresh twist. We hope that villagers and surrounding communities will join us for this unique festive treat.”

Girvan Primary will hold a festive fun Christmas fayre next Thursday ( 13th).
There will be class craft stalls, refreshments and Christmas carols from 1.45 - 3pm.
