The Bal­lantrae Trust’s next per­for­mance in part­ner­ship with the Ayr­shire Ru­ral Tour­ing Net­work is “Celtic Christ­mas Strings” in Bal­lantrae Parish Church this Satur­day, De­cem­ber 8 at 7.30pm.

Trust Chair­man Andy McAlpine said:“We are look­ing for­ward to wel­com­ing Maire Ni Chatha­saigh and Chris New­man with harp and gui­tar to Bal­lantrae as we count down to Christ­mas.

We un­der­stand their reper­toire in­cludes a blend of tra­di­tional Ir­ish mu­sic, swing jazz and blue­grass plus fes­tive favourites with a fresh twist. We hope that vil­lagers and sur­round­ing com­mu­ni­ties will join us for this unique fes­tive treat.”

Gir­van Pri­mary will hold a fes­tive fun Christ­mas fayre next Thurs­day ( 13th).

There will be class craft stalls, re­fresh­ments and Christ­mas car­ols from 1.45 - 3pm.
