Fri­day, Novem­ber 30 marked the highly suc­cess­ful first pub­lic per­for­mance of The Gai­ety’s mag­i­cal pan­tomime Aladdin.

This stun­ning show trans­ports the au­di­ence to Old Pek­ing, where they are im­mersed in a world of mys­ti­cal magic.

From clas­sic au­di­ence in­ter­ac­tion, glit­ter­ing cos­tumes, beau­ti­ful sets, and colour­ful char­ac­ters, there is no short­age of laughs, cheers and high en­ergy fun.

Over 1000 peo­ple at­tended The Gai­ety’s open­ing week­end, laugh­ing out loud with Wishee Washee ( Dan Whit­ley), and the Slave of the Ring ( Court­ney Dig­nan), while en­joy­ing Aladdin ( Kieran Be­g­ley) and PC Ping’s ( Robert Aitken) mis­chief- mak­ing.

The there was Evil Abanazar ( Liam Web­ster) and Widow Twankey ( Michael Court­ney) per­form­ing the hi­lar­i­ous ‘ bal­loon bal­let’, and Aladdin with Princess Jas­mine ( Lorna Amy Sul­li­van) tak­ing flight in the breath- tak­ing magic car­pet scene.

The open­ing week­end left au­di­ences with big smiles and ex­cite­ment for Christ­mas, with cus­tomer com­ments such as: “Ex­cel­lent per­for­mance, my three- year- old en­joyed it. Def­i­nitely rec­om­mend the show!”

An­other added: “Ac­tors were fab – great with the kids!”

This Christ­mas, join your friends and fam­ily at The Gai­ety, where the panto ad­ven­ture of a life­time awaits, full of mis­chief, magic and may­hem! Aladdin runs un­til Jan­uary 3 2019.
