Friday, November 30 marked the highly successful first public performanc­e of The Gaiety’s magical pantomime Aladdin.

This stunning show transports the audience to Old Peking, where they are immersed in a world of mystical magic.

From classic audience interactio­n, glittering costumes, beautiful sets, and colourful characters, there is no shortage of laughs, cheers and high energy fun.

Over 1000 people attended The Gaiety’s opening weekend, laughing out loud with Wishee Washee ( Dan Whitley), and the Slave of the Ring ( Courtney Dignan), while enjoying Aladdin ( Kieran Begley) and PC Ping’s ( Robert Aitken) mischief- making.

The there was Evil Abanazar ( Liam Webster) and Widow Twankey ( Michael Courtney) performing the hilarious ‘ balloon ballet’, and Aladdin with Princess Jasmine ( Lorna Amy Sullivan) taking flight in the breath- taking magic carpet scene.

The opening weekend left audiences with big smiles and excitement for Christmas, with customer comments such as: “Excellent performanc­e, my three- year- old enjoyed it. Definitely recommend the show!”

Another added: “Actors were fab – great with the kids!”

This Christmas, join your friends and family at The Gaiety, where the panto adventure of a lifetime awaits, full of mischief, magic and mayhem! Aladdin runs until January 3 2019.
