-

Ayr Bowls Gents got back to their winning ways after last week’s disappointment.

Visitors Whiteinch only managed one narrow winning rink, with Ayr being victorious 92- 69, which puts them back to top of the table.

Ayr skips first: P Shields 32, A Glencross 17; B Greenhill 21, R Barr 14; S Christie 16, K Murray 19; D Shields 23, P Murray 19.

There is no game this Saturday due to the Scottish Gents National Triples at Auchinleck at 2pm where John Candlish, David Shields and Paul Shields will await the winners between Allander or Inverclyde.

Ayr Seniors came off second best in their penultimate game of the season, beat with an eight shot deficit away at Glasgow 51- 59.

Their last game of the season is a home fixture this Saturday against Ayrshire rivals Prestwick.

Ayr Ladies saw their chance to go second in the table being stolen by Prestwick who defeated them 66- 43.

The Gents have no game next week due to the National Triples where Jean Paterson, Joyce Arnott and Margaret Hutchison play Coatbridge at Auchinleck at 2pm.

Christmas raffle tickets are being sold through the office or committee members where a variety of vouchers, hampers and money prizes are up for grabs.
