Crackdown on venues

-

Ten venues have been pulled up by South Ayrshire Council over unpaid licence fees.

The Unity Grill and Matha Dickie’s pub in Ayr along with McCallums Oyster Bar in Troon are among those named by the council.

The money for the premises licence was due on October 1.

Businesses which hadn’t paid by November 12 were sent a reminder.

Council licensing standards officer Catrina Andrew said she is seeking a review of the firms’ premises licences.

The following businesses have been named for failing to pay up.

They are The Unity Grill, Café Spice Wine and Dine, Cosses Country House, Hula, L & M’s, McCallums of Troon Oyster Bar, Brunston Castle Golf Course, Lagganhouse Country Park, Matha Dickies and Pearl Tandoori.

The matter is due to be dealt with at the council’s licensing board meeting this week
