Police Scotland this week confirmed new anti- drone measures, including increased patrols, have been introduced.
A spokeswoman for Prestwick said: “We are aware of the risks due to drones and we do liaise closely with Police Scotland.
“We would welcome stricter controls on the use of drones in and around airports and flight paths.”
Gatwick are still offering a £ 50,000 reward to trace those who brought their airfield to a standstill.
