Walk starts at Marr College

On Sunday, January 13, in a change to the published programme, South Ayrshire Ramblers will offer a 10.25mile circular walk starting at Marr College, Troon.

After crossing the Darley Golf Course, the walk heads towards Loans to pick up the Smugglers’ Trail to Dundonald. From there the route goes towards Drybridge and continues to the GSK plant, then follows a path behind the factory heading towards Shewalton Moss. It picks up the cycle path leading back to Marr College. For more details, contact Dougie Graham on 01292 822533. Please meet at Prestwick Town railway station car park for an 8.50am departure. Meanwhile, Ayr & District Rambling Club will offer a nine- walk at Dunstonhill on Saturday.
