CUMNOCK .. 0 KILWINNING .. 2

Cumnock failed to stop their poor run of form as they fell to defeat at home to Kilwinning.

Paul Burns’ side have picked up just one point from their last seven games, and it doesn’t get any easier as they head to bitter rivals Auchinleck Talbot on Saturday in the West of Scotland Cup.

Ryan Nisbet grabbed goals either side of half- time as the Buffs put

‘ Nock to the sword.

• Cumnock were rocked this week as star striker Scott Anson left the club to join league rivals Pollok.

The hitman has left for personal reasons, and said: “It was a hard decision, but with a young family and personal circumstances changing I wanted to be closer to home.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cumnock and I want to thank everyone.

“I’m leaving a great bunch of boys and management team who I wish every success in the future.”

• ‘ Nock have signed Sengalese defender Mouhamed Niang on loan from Partick Thisle.
