School meal maestros

The dinner ladies - and lad - at Troon Primary are always happy at their work.

Now they have been honoured for the going the extra mile on hygiene.

The dinner staff gained the Eat Safe Award for going above and beyond the legal requirements.

Councillor Ian Cochrane said the award is a great start to the new year.

He said: “Healthy, nutritious meals help children to focus on their studies and get the most out of their education. “I’d like to congratulate all the staff at Troon Primary for their hard work and dedication. It means children are served well every day.”
