Centre of attention
Tom Callaghan Windows and Conservatories Ltd is well known locally for fitting windows and doors to residential properties but the company has also worked on a number of nonresidential properties.
At Loans Village Hall the company recently fitted 16 windows and a door.
Veronica Hickman, treasurer of Loans Community Centre Limited, first heard of Tom Callaghan through a colleague.
She said: “Our decision to go with Tom Callaghan was based on the information we obtained about the satisfactory level of work carried out in other South Ayrshire buildings, along with their competitively- priced quote.”
The community centre group dealt with Grant during the sales process and they were delighted with the service they received.
Veronica said: “He was very helpful and pleasant, giving the needed advice and assistance without being pushy.
“He was sympathetic to the fact that the closure of the hall for planned work affected many of its regular users and cooperated with me to ensure the least possible disruption.”
The job was fitted by Phil, Barry and Declan and Veronica said: “They were pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to ensure that the hall was clean and safe at the end of each day to be able to be used in the evenings.
“They pulled out the stops to finish and clean up early enough on the final day to allow a group to use the hall and it was all done with goodwill and no word of complaint.”
She added: “The new windows have completely lifted the appearance of the hall, both inside and outside.
“We have had very many positive comments on how nice they are and what a difference they have made.”
