My challenge to Bill for his prorogue time

-

A well- known local poet wrote “The fear o’ hell’s a hangman’s whip to haud the wretch in order . . . but where you feel your honour grip, let that aye be your border”.

Well, the Tory party whips have so far failed to hold the wretched Brexit rebels in order. And there are a lot of local people now asking when local MP Bill Grant is going to feel his honour grip?

Will he ever vote against his own party?

As the Parliamentary representative of a “remain” constituency, Bill upset a lot of people – myself included – by supporting Theresa May’s Brexit deal. But getting into bed with Bonkers Boris – then voicing his “reluctant support” for a ‘ no deal’exit – has upset even more.

It’s all very well having an MP who is his “own man”. But when it comes to a big call - the people of Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock would rather he was “our man” in Westminster. On his website, Bill boldly states, “I am here to represent you, regardless of how you voted”. Well, it’s time for some representation. I challenge Bill to spend some of his ‘ prorogue’ time- off on the main streets of Ayr, Maybole and Cumnock. If he thinks he can find a majority that support Boris and his “leave at any cost” policy – he’s very much mistaken.
