Head for the outdoors this weekend

-

This Saturday South Ayrshire Ramblers invite you to join them on a pleasant and easy nine- mile walk at Neilston. The route will start from the Kingston Road car park and quickly gives open views as it rises gradually along a woodland path on the lower slopes of Neilston Pad, with a view of Snypes Dam and panorama. Some minor road walking follows, with views of Glanderston Dam, before returning to Neilston. For more details, contact Rena Mundell on 01292 266220. Meet at Prestwick Town railway station car park at 8.50am.

On Sunday, Sep 15, Ayr & District Rambling Club head for Dailly for a fairly easy six- mile walk with some moderate uphill sections, but nothing too steep. Starting from the centre of the village the route initially goes close to the Lindsayston Burn, then past Whitehill Farm, continuing with a gentle climb to the summit of Barony Hill. The return is through Glengee and Poundland Woods and then back along the Water of Girvan to Dailly. To join the walk, meet at the Mill Brae car park in Ayr yr at 8.50am.
