Thanks a Lotto for the cash
Three lucky projects have hit the jackpot after landing Lottery funding. Ochiltree and Skares Community Action Plan, Carrick Rural Arts Group and Southcraig School received a share of £ 952,883 worth of grants.
Ochiltree and Skares are now set for a summer Gala and Christmas parties after bagging £ 4,853. Carrick Rural Arts Group will host a programme of workshops culminating in a festival of lanterns, fire, music and light after securing £ 9,000.
And Southcraig Campus in Ayr scooped £ 9,980 which they will use to provide Green Gym activities. The project will engage with The Conservation Volunteers teaching pupils about horticulture and the living environment.
A Na t i o n a l L ot t e r y spokesman said: “The groups receiving funding showcases the range of projects that can be funded through this programme and the difference that the smallest amounts of money can make.”
