Last glimpse of, our rather wet, summer of 2019

-

Youngsters rounded off their summer with a day of fun in the sun at Maidens beach.

Kids enjoyed the Carrick Centre’s summer programme during their school holidays.

In total 114 of them took part on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays with an average attendance of 33 young people at each session.

The youngsters received a lunch at each session and the sun was splitting the sky as the programme culminated in a family day trip to the beach.

Ronnie Sinclair, Community Learning and Development Team Leader, said: “This was a fantastic example of different organisations working together to provide the young people with an exciting programme of activities over the summer holidays. Plans are now underway for the October holiday week.”

Carrick Centre Manager, Andrea Hutchison, added: “At The Carrick Centre we continue to receive praise and gratitude for the Summer Buzz Project.”
