Wall works equal delays

-

A crumbling brick wall road defence next to the A77 is to be replaced.

Workers will spend three weeks from this Monday, September 23, at the Craigskelly Sewall, south of Girvan.

Traffic will go down to one lane and drivers heading to the ferries at Cairnryan are warned by Scotland TranServ to build in extra time.

TranServ’s Alaister Walker said: “We will construct a soil slope towards the beach side and build a rock armour defence to protect the slope from future erosion. A new vehicle barrier will enhance road user safety on completion of the works.”
