Plant man in court
An electrical utilities worker detected something untoward when they made a visit to a property in Cumnock.
And a police search found the occupant was growing a Class B drug.
Gary Mullen, aged 46, of Glenlamont, Cumnock, appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Tuesday, September 10.
He admitted producing cannabis from his home on July 18 this year.
Jo Cunningham, the fiscal depute, said: “When they searched the property they found two tents with one cannabis plant in each.”
Sheriff Desmond Leslie imposed 120 hours of unpaid work in the community for Mullen, to be completed within the next three months.
