Owner denies causing cat death

A 42- year- old man denies causing two dogs to attack and kill a cat.

It is alleged Mark Cuthbert, of Thornyflat Place, Ayr, caused an animal fight to take place on February 17, 2018 at land near to Holmston, Ayr by taking a cat and three dogs there and releasing the dogs on the cat.

The same charge claims that on March 4, 2018 at Thornyflat Place Cuthbert caused an animal fight by causing two dogs to attack and kill a cat in an enclosed garden.

Cuthbert also denies keeping and training a number of dogs, cats and a rat for an animal fight.

He faces two other charges of supplying another person a video recording of an animal fight.

Cuthbert denies all charges. The diet was adjourned for next month.
