Jamming kids spread the fun
The tots at Little Acorns love spreading homemade jam on their toast at play- time.
That’s why they couldn’t wait for their bramble picking trip in Auchincruive last week.
The sun was splitting the sky as the nursery kids and their families turned up in force.
By the end of the afternoon there were plenty of stained hands and happy faces.
Autumn had officially arrived as the kids picked berries, enjoyed stories, played in the woodland and munched snacks at a campfire while the grown ups cooled off with a cuppa.
And afterwards the berries were made into a delicious jam for them all to enjoy.
Nursery manager Emily O’Hara said: “This is always a lovely end to the summer and a chance to look forward to the Autumn term and catch up with friends new and old.
“We had a fantastic afternoon bramble picking in the beautiful Ayrshire countryside.
“Thank you everyone for joining us with your families.
“Lots of stained hands and faces from all the feasting is proof that a good time was had by all.”
