All sweet for Peat

St Meddan’s Church in Troon will wave goodbye to their minister this Sunday Rev Derek Peat is on the move after six years at the church. He came to St Meddan’s in August 2013 ( ordination above and Derek is pictured centre, after working in healthcare chaplaincy, both within a hospice setting and then for the NHS. Having worked originally as an accountant, Derek studied Divinity at Trinity College in Glasgow, and his desire to make the Word known moved him to make the change from chaplaincy to parish ministry. He’s off to a presbytery job in Glasgow . . . and now two out of three kirks in Troon are rudderless.
