Gav’s podium place
Prestwick FootGolfer, Gavin Craig, secured a third place finish in the sport’s Scottish rankings at the weekend.
It followed a fourth placed finish in the Scottish season Matchplay on Saturday and second in the Lanarkshire Open on Sunday.
Gav said: “I’m delighted with third place overall as the Scottish Tour is the strongest regional tour in the UK.
“It’s really grown over the past few years and the standard is getting better all the time. I’d go as far as saying that a top three finish this season is a better achievement than when I was number one in Scotland.”
Gav is sponsored by Andy McKenzie Gas & Plumbing Services and was backed by Global Quantum at the start of the season.
He added: “Thanks also to store manager at Sainsbury’s, Lynne Nimmo, who allowed me to negotiate my working shifts around my FootGolf commitments.”
