Woman’s drunken mid- air rampage

A drunk plane passenger threw her drink at another t raveller and sprayed perfume in her partner’s. face.

Angela Duffy, 34, was travelling from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, to Prestwick Airport when she carried out the assaults while drunk on board the aircraft.

Duffy admitted assaulting Susan Elliot on the Ryanair flight by throwing the contents of her drink at her causing liquid to strike her on the head and body during the incident on April 27.

She then assaulted her partner, David Cherry, by repeatedly punching him on the body and spraying perfume in his face.

Duffy, of Dumbarton Road, Glasgow, admitted three charges against her when she appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.

She is currently in custody for other matters and her sentence was deferred for the outcome of such matters at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Her bail on the aeroplane matter was continued and she will reappear at a later date.
