agency can take over a public area as their own, encouraging folk, especially the elderly, not to walk there.

“There’s no point saying these are family pets if there’s nine running off the lead.

“And dog trainers know they can act as a pack.

“Two came running up to me and I got scared.

“I just don’t think it’s fair on other dog walkers.”

The concerned woman added: “How can the person control nine dogs? How can the person pick up nine lots of poo?

“There should be a maximum number of dogs – not nine.”

But Jenny, who has been professionally dog walking since 2011, defends her actions and said only eight were off the lead at the time.

She said: “I spoke to the woman and I didn’t see any issues – none of the dogs are aggressive.

“I had one dog on the lead so eight were off – and three of those were my own and they’re all really well trained.

“There’s no legislation in Scotland that I’m aware of that limits you to the amount of dogs you can walk.

“Her wee dog was perfectly safe to come in and mingle but there was no explaining that to the lady.

“We don’t have any aggressive dogs. If any dogs show any signs of aggression then we tell the owners we can’t have them.

“She obviously wasn’t scared if she came in the gate and started following and filming me, which to be honest I found quite intimating and I had to walk away.

“If she was scared, she wouldn’t have come across the gate. Her actions don’t marry up with her words.

“Dogs have the right to be off the lead and that’s why I walk up here because the dogs can run off the lead safely.”

Jenny, who walks some Auchincruive staff members’ dogs, was adamant she picks up her dogs’ mess.

She added: “I pick up my dog poo every day – I never leave poo, regardless of where I am.”
