CHEERS! VOTE FOR YOUR PUB OF THE YEAR

- GARY FANNING

A good pub is somewhere that brings people together, that can spearhead movements and help drive change.

The doors are open to get your entries in for our inaugural Pub of the Year competition.

Whether you are a drinker or not, the heart of a community is quite often the pub.

A place to socialise and wind down, a great local can be the place you turn to in times of celebration and consolation in equal measure by bringing people together.

Good decisions a- plenty have started over a pint and a chat in the pub, although there have undoubtedly been just as many bad decisions made there too.

But we here at the Ayrshire Post think the positives of a good local far outweigh the negatives in the community.

We are asking you to nominate your favourite local to be crowned the Ayrshire Post Pub of the Year and tell us why you love it so much. Great food, top atmosphere, fantastic staff or a great range of drinks are all reasons to nominate your go- to haunt.

Once we have our nominations we will then go about secretly scoring the pubs put forward into a top 10.

It will then come back to you, our readers, to vote for the pub you think should be crowned the Ayrshire Post Pub of The Year 2019.

To enter your favourite hostelry simply tell us the name of the pub and why it should win in 100 words or less.

You can enter by filling out the form right— it couldn’t be easier! But don’t delay, last orders for nominations is noon on Friday October 18, 2019!

And if you’re pub landlord or landlady then here is your chance to pull a favour from your customers instead of pulling them a pint.

Get them to put you forward and make sure you are sharing your efforts to win the title on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also nominate at www.ayrshirepost.co.uk/puboftheyear
