Behind the old Gaiety curtains
If you have ever wondered about life behind the scenes of one of the oldest theatres in Scotland, then this is the tour for you.
All areas of The Gaiety in Ayr will be opened up for view.
The next tour is on Tuesday October 29 - and the tickets are a bargain at just £ 5 and £ 6.
The tours are part of the Back
To The Gaiety, a heritage lottery funded project preserving the history and memories of
Ayrshire’s much loved theatre.
Guiding patrons through the theatre, volunteers showcase many areas not often seen by the public.
That includes a walk through the dressing rooms and an opportunity to tread the boards on the stage.
It will be brought to life with
vibrant stories of curtain calls past, and the building’s own history.
And of course if you are a thespian wannabe, you get the change to stand on stage and address the empty stalls and circle.
Tickets for the next tour can be booked at the Box Office on 01292 288235 or at www. thegaiety. co. uk
