MSP and MP team up to hold jobs fair
For the third successive year, I will be holding a constituency employment fair, this time at the Auchinleck Boswell Centre on Friday, March 6 from 12 to 2pm in conjunction with Alan Brown MP.
I have invited a cross- section of private and public sector businesses and organisations form across
South and East Ayrshire with vacancies locally who will be able to offer opportunities to people young and not so young who are looking for employment or training.
I am sure we will secure wide participation and provide an opportunity for people to network, receive advice on working in a specific sector; job applications and/ or details of apprenticeships -

The National Farmers Union, Scottish Tourism Alliance, Scottish Seafood Association, Scottish Care, the Federation of Small Businesses and many many more industry bodies and associations have reacted negatively to the UK Government’s controversial pointsbased immigration proposals.
Industry and employers across the country recognise that getting the migration system right is absolutely vital for the future.
As Scotland’s population grows older, we need the power to attractand retain the workers we need to fund our public services, and allow our economy to flourish.
This is the stark reality of the Tories’ Brexit Britain.
It’s now absolutely vital that the political parties and industry leaders come together to back the Scottish Government’s plans for a tailored migration system which works for Scotland with proposals for a ‘ Scottish Visa’ already gaining the backing of awide range of expert organisations.
