Special uplifts resume

Special and bulky bin uplifts have been restored in South Ayrshire.

The council’s special/ bulky uplift booking system was reinstated last week and uplifts resumed as of Monday.

The service is for the collection of bulk waste items or garden waste that cannot fit into a domestic wheeled bin.

A council statement said: “We anticipate there may be a high demand for this service initially and booking slots may be taken quickly, however in those instances the system will look for the next available date for your area.

“We appreciate your patience as we resume this service. Please help us to keep everyone informed and tell your family, friends and neighbours.”
