Troon got off to a Premier Division flyer with a 3- 0 win at Bonnyton on Saturday.

Raymond Montgomeri­e looked set to give The seasiders an early lead with a header but his effort was well saved by Scott Johnston.

In the 15th minute the visitors’ pressure paid off as Ross Barbour calmly converted.

The hosts had a great chance to draw level in the 25th minute, but Chris Kelly failed to keep his header down.

Veteran Ryan Stevenson tried his luck for Troon just before half- time, but his effort went wide of the post.

But on the hour mark the visitors doubled their lead thanks to a classy finish

from Dean Fulton.

Then there was broad daylight between the sides in the 75th minute when Josh Black ran from his own half after capitalisi­ng on sloppy Bonnyton passing to slide an effort under the keeper and seal a comfortabl­e victory.

Troon played the last six minutes with 10 men after James McGowan went off injured.

RYAN Connolly hit a hat- trick as Craigmark paid tribute to secretary David Conway with a thumping 7- 2 win over Ardeer.

A minute’s silence was held before kickoff in honour of David who was a giant of the Dalmelling­ton club. He died, aged 54, after a short illness.

Also on target in a game switched to Cumnock’s Townhead Park were Ali Boyle ( 2), Jordan Kemoe and David Cunningham.

DARVEL were 3- 0 winners over Rob Roy thanks to strikes from Ross Caldwell, Jordan Kirkpatric­k and Allan Mackenzie.

BEITH scrambled an 88th minute equaliser from Kevin Watt to draw 1- 1 with Rossvale at Bellsdale.

HURLFORD hit back with two goals in the closing six minutes from Paul McKenzie and Mick Wardrope to draw 2- 2 away to Blantyre.

LARGS had Laurie McMaster sent off after only 10 minutes of their 1- 0 home defeat by Clydebank. Nicky Little, who earlier had a penalty saved, scored on the hour.

MAYBOLE, who have signed Cammy Marlow from Glenafton, crashed 3- 2 at home to Vale of Leven in the Soccer Shop Direct Challenge Cup.

James Cuthbertso­n and Robert Paterson had the the scores level before the visitors sunk a penalty after Blair Anderson handled.

AUCHINLECK have appointed Gordon Pope as developmen­t team manager after the full- back announced he was hanging up his boots.

MUIRKIRK have signed former Kilmarnock youth Robbie McCracken on loan from Auchinleck.
