Students launch music podcast

Ayrshire College’s music and sound production department has launched an exciting new podcast.

Named after the college’s state- oftheart recording and rehearsal facilities at its Ayr Campus - Rockpool Studios - the podcast aims to build a community and another creative outlet. The main Rockpool Podcasts show will feature individual stories written, produced and hosted entirely by Ayrshire College music and sound production students.

There will also be mini- episodes all about music and bonus episodes involving prominent special guests from the creative industries.

John McBlain, Lecturer in Music & Performance at Ayrshire College, said: “While we face many challenges, there have been many opportunities to enhance digital literacy, explore some truly innovative methods of engagement, and to encourage people to come together as a community, and share experiences.”
