Ex-deputy head teacher accused of revenge porn
A former primary deputy head teacher has denied her involvement in revenge porn after allegedly sharing intimate videos between partners.
Janey Smith, of Meadow Park, Ayr is facing charges relating to abusive behaviour and sexual harm and two counts of sexual offence charges.
The ex-depute at Girvan Primary School appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court on Wednesday, July 21 in relation to alleged offences dating back to 2014.
Ms Smith, 56, was alleged to have recorded a female over five years in underwear or a bikini at an address in Ayr, between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2019.
Ms Smith is accused of filming sexual activity of another female victim at the same Ayr address on July 3, 2019.
It is alleged Ms Smith filmed a sexual act with the intention of later viewing it or sharing it with someone else.
Ms Smith is also facing charges of showing a video of a female partner in an ‘intimate situation’ to a male partner without any consent, at the same property in Ayr.
As part of the charge it is alleged that Ms Smith did so in order to cause fear, alarm or distress.
Ms Smith pleaded not guilty to all charges.
She will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court at a later date.
A trial is scheduled for August 12.
