Prestfest music event set to make a welcome return

-

It’s been a long wait but live music is back with a bang this September.

Prestwick’s hottest live music event Prestfest is back for a three day extravaganza over the weekend of September 3, 4 and 5.

The annual event sees the town’s businesses, shops and pubs throw open their doors to revellers in a unique experience.

Last year’s festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic but this year’s celebrations hope to entertain crowds in various venues across Prestwick’s Main Street.

Joining The Usual Suspects, who are set to play at The Golf Inn on Friday, September 3, are ska band Skaledonia and

Memphis, with more artists and bands being announced shortly.

Organiser Bill Briceland said:“Live music is coming back.

“Having missed out last year due to Covid this will be the music festival’s ninth year with live music throughout the town.

“The Prestfest Committee are grateful for the support from South Ayrshire

Council, Prestwick Business Association and the Rotary Club whose help has made this year’s festival possible.”

Prestfest will also be supporting the Cash for Kids charity.

Keep an eye on Prestfest’s Facebook page for upcoming band and venue announcements.
