SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (Briarhill Road, Prestwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2021

On 22/07/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of works to be undertaken on or near the road for carriageway resurfacing.

The Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive, cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Briarhill Road, between Caelaverock Road and Adamton Road North. The Order is in force from 09:30 hours on Monday 2nd August. To minimise inconvenience, the road is expected to only be closed between 09:30 and 15:30 hours each day with it being open out-with these times until anticipated completion by 15:30 hours on Friday 13th August 2021. The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services vehicles will not be affected and access for residents, to properties including Westbourne Avenue cul-de-sac and pedestrians out-with the working zone will be maintained. An alternative route suitable for all through traffic will be signed via will be signed via Caelaverock Road, Berelands Road and Adamton Road North in both directions.
