SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (B7035 South Water of Girvan, Old Dailly – Maxwellston - Dailly) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2021
On 22/07/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of works to be undertaken on or near the road for carriageway resurfacing.
The Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive, cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the B7035 South Water of Girvan, Old Dailly – Maxwellston - Dailly, from the junction with the C101 Cairnhill Road, northeastwards to Maxwellston, a distance of approximately 4000 metres.
The Order is in force from Thursday 29th July. To minimise inconvenience, the road is expected to only be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 hours each day with the road open out-with these times until anticipated completion by 17:00 hours on Monday 16th August 2021. The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services vehicles will not be affected and access for residents and pedestrians out-with the working zone will be maintained. An alternative route suitable for all through traffic will be signed via the B7035 Old Dailly to B734 Grangeston Roundabout, Girvan, A77(T) to B741 towards Dailly, Lochmodie Bridge, Main Street and Linfern Road to the junction with the B7035 after Road Bridge in both directions.
