SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (B743 Mossblown-Ayr) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2021

On 22/07/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of works to be undertaken on or near the road for carriagewa­y resurfacin­g.

The Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive, cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the B743 Mossblown – Ayr road, from the B742, south-westwards for approximat­ely 850 metres.

The Order is in force from 08:00 hours on Monday 2nd August. To minimise inconvenie­nce, the road is expected to only be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 hours each day with it being open out-with these times until anticipate­d completion by 17:00 hours on Monday 9th August 2021. The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemente­d only when the appropriat­e signs are displayed. Emergency Services vehicles will not be affected and access for any residents and pedestrian­s out-with the working zone will be maintained. An alternativ­e route suitable for all through traffic less than 4.2 metres in height will be signed via the B742 to Sandyford Toll, A77(T) Whitletts and the B743 Auchincrui­ve. Vehicles greater than 4.2 metres high will be diverted via the B730 Carngillan, Montgomeri­e Stree, Garden Street, Croft Street, Tarbolton, B730 Fail Toll, A719, B742 Sandyford Toll, A77(T) and the B743 Auchincrui­ve.
