SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (B743 Mossblown-Ayr) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2021
On 22/07/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of works to be undertaken on or near the road for carriageway resurfacing.
The Order will make it unlawful for any person to drive, cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the B743 Mossblown – Ayr road, from the B742, south-westwards for approximately 850 metres.
The Order is in force from 08:00 hours on Monday 2nd August. To minimise inconvenience, the road is expected to only be closed between 08:00 and 17:00 hours each day with it being open out-with these times until anticipated completion by 17:00 hours on Monday 9th August 2021. The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services vehicles will not be affected and access for any residents and pedestrians out-with the working zone will be maintained. An alternative route suitable for all through traffic less than 4.2 metres in height will be signed via the B742 to Sandyford Toll, A77(T) Whitletts and the B743 Auchincruive. Vehicles greater than 4.2 metres high will be diverted via the B730 Carngillan, Montgomerie Stree, Garden Street, Croft Street, Tarbolton, B730 Fail Toll, A719, B742 Sandyford Toll, A77(T) and the B743 Auchincruive.
