EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (Various Roads, Kilmarnock) (Temporary Road Closures and Suspension of One Way Traffic) Order 2021

On 27/07/21 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on the lengths of roads listed below (except vehicles engaged in facilitati­ng “Roon the Toon 2021”), for the purpose of maintainin­g road safety during the holding of the event.

Dundonald Rd, Fowlds St, Green St (between London Rd and its intersecti­on with Sturrock St), Holmes Rd (between U34 Fairyhill and Dundonald Rd), John Finnie St (between Portland Rd and Grange St), King St , London Rd (closed westbound only between Holmehouse Rd and Green St), Old Mill Rd, Portland Rd (between John Finnie St and Grange St), Portland St (between West George St and The Cross), Queen’s Dr (between B7072 Hurlford Rd and Welbeck St), St. Marnock St, Sturrock St, The Cross, U34 Fairyhill, Welbeck St and A759 (between Dundonald Rd and A759 to Gatehead).

King St (between St. Marnock St and Titchfield St) and St. Marnock St.

The Order will come into operation at 09:00 hrs until 13:00 hrs on 22/08/21, or until the event is finished whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemente­d only when appropriat­e signs are displayed.

Whilst roads are closed alternativ­e routes will be signed accordingl­y on site.

Vehicular access to properties within the closed roads will be permitted on the instructio­n of the traffic management marshals when it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
