Troon Old Parish Church has been working towards the re-introducti­on of aspects of church life which haven’t been enjoyed for some time and would welcome everyone to join with them.

Over the coming months, events are as follows: Sunday, August 29 between 2pm-4pm and Wednesday, September 1 between 7pm-9pm - Open House in the Sanctuary. These drop-in sessions are an opportunit­y to return to the sanctuary and enjoy music and singing in a relaxed atmosphere at a time of own choice.

Sunday, September 5 at 10.30am Re-commenceme­nt of a single service in the sanctuary with pew cushions and congregati­onal singing.

Saturday, September 11 Resumption of the Saturday Cafe from 10am-12noon.

Sunday, September 12 - Re-start of Sunday Schools and Creche Facilities.

Sunday, September 12 - Return to tea and coffee following the service.

Sunday, September 12 - Open Doors Day from 2pm-4pm.

Sunday, September 26 - Harvest Thanksgivi­ng Service followed by a family event (Details to follow).

Contact tracing details continue to be required, either hand-written or through the QR scanning code, and hand sanitisers will still be available.

There are conversati­ons taking place regarding various other activities, such as the return of Choir Practice, Woman’s Guild and Bible Study Group, details following when available.

The online calendar within the church website contains further informatio­n about all halls’activities.

Online worship will continue and evolve during a move to live streaming of the services through the website or Facebook page. Alternativ­ely, by phoning 01292 434504, the latest service can be accessed free of charge.

The latest edition of Top Talk will be delivered to Troon Old members but if for some reason it is not received, these will be available to uplift in the church vestibule or beside the office.

The Foodbank operates weekly on Fridays from 12noon-2pm.
