Fishing fleet at Girvan

You know instantly it’s Girvan harbour, but this is back in 1968 when the fishing industry was in much better shape.

Also visible is the gable end of the old Pleasure House, which became the Grand Theatre and dance hall. It carries a sign saying amusements and bingo, for Girvan Town Council leased it out prior to demolition, to be replaced by a swimming pool, also now demolished.
