Talksabout society’s future

Mauchline Horticultural & Agricultural Society is holding an open meeting next month to discuss their future.

Those interested to see the return of Mauchline Flower Show and monthly evening meetings, and those who would like to join the committee are urged to come along.

A society spokesman said: “It has now been over two years since our last public meeting took place and we would like to make a tentative move forward.

“Perhaps this year we will only have a Flower Show but that would be a place to start.

“In the past we have had very successful Flower Shows, coffee mornings, summer outings and of course monthly meetings with guest speakers between September and April.

“For all of these to take place we need a committee willing to put the time in to organise them and we need the support of the public who attend.”

The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 10 at 7.30pm in the Dunlop Hall of Mauchline Parish Church Hall.
