Fantastic supporters of Carrick Academy and RFC during my 15 years there. Jamie and his family are fantastic people and it’s a sad day for all involved!

Such a sad time the loss for all the drivers. And for the family that run the business for as long.

Had the pleasure to work for the company many years ago. Learned a lot whilst there, sad to hear this news. Tributes were paid to Ayr’s ‘Queen of the nightlife’ Christine Macintrye who died aged 75.

This happened to a couple I know years ago, they had their daughter and same thing, she fell into a sinkhole so deep she was completely under water, she was six at the time.

It’s sad to hear the same danger is there but there’s no warning signs up. Council can’t prevent these holes developing but they can surely draw folks’ attention to the possibility, or is it going to take a child losing their life before something is done.

Disgruntled driver Allan Heslop, 85, racked up a £17 debt after council bosses say he was‘parking illegally’ at a disabled bay in Prestwick’s Main Street

That’s very sad. The parking charges are out of control

This is one of the main reasons Ayr High Street has died. The difference between Ayr and Prestwick and at heathfield retail park is free parking.

Lorna Quinn

I wish folk would use a wee bit of common sense. It’s two pensioners. Get a grip SAC.
