Thought for the week..
Compiled by Irene Howat
The rain was pouring down. I put off doing my shopping but then went anyway. Having been soaked in town I settled down in comfort with a coffee and looked around for inspiration for
Thought for the Week, and found it.There is a trellis just outside the kitchen door, and tucked between the bars is a beautiful spider’s web diamond studded with raindrops. Suddenly the day has taken on a new perspective as I’ve looked to see the beauty the rain brought with it. Manufacturers of silk flowers sometimes attach artificial raindrops to them, but they are nothing to the beauty of real raindrops on fragile primrose petals or early spring blossom.
I’m grateful that this was the day for writing Thought for the Week or I might had spent all day staring at the computer screen rather than looking out at the wonder of God’s creation.
‘How many are your works, O Lord! In wisdom you made them all.’(see Psalm 104:24 in the Bible)
