WEE WINDAES

-

An evening of fun, karaoke and Play Your Cards Right held in the Wee Windaes in Newmarket Street raised £900 for the Ayrshire Hospice Capital Build Project.

And because the event was held on the weekend of February 18-21 the amount was generously doubled by the Hospice’s corporate sponsors so a total of £1800 found its way into the fund.

The capital build aims to raise £13 million in order to rebuild and develop the current hospice on its present site.

Hailing the Wee Windaes night a great success Odette Landsburgh, Capital Campaign Corporate Fundraiser said: “It was an amazing amount to raise in one night and came from a mixture of a raffle, ticket sales and donations. I’d like to thank everyone for their support.”

And Wee Windaes owner Jim McSherry added: “This was our biggest night by far since lockdown and it proved a great success.

“I’d like to thank everyone who attended or donated for helping us raise this terrific amount for such a worthy cause.”
