Thai eaterie plan to extend site

The owners of a popular Ayr Thai restaurant hope to significantly expand their premises.

Applicants The business, @ Home, based in the town’s New Street has lodged proposals with South Ayrshire Council’s planning department to increase the size of the premises by more than a third by utilising a storage building on the property.

Their application proposes ‘demolition of existing store building and erection of new replacement building to enable expansion of the existing restaurant business’.

The existing store and replacement are both single storey and all access arrangements would remain the same.

The restaurant first opened it’s doors to customers in Ayr in 2015.
