I have had sight of your letter to Newton residents where you make an offer on behalf of SAC of a MUGA (multi use games area) with public funding of £10,000 on condition that the Newton residents find the balance of £40,000.

Notwithstanding that this “offer” is nowhere near as generous as that to the tennis players of Seafield, where land is to be sold with a substantial dowry, and for sure the land at Seafield is not the daughter in need of a dowry and the prospective groom is well funded, I would like to make you, SAC, an offer.

I will give you, SAC, £10,000 if those promoting the ridiculous swimming pool in the Central Business District, including councillor Philip Saxton and the rest of the coalition members, can come up with the balance of £39,999,990.00 from their own resources.
