MSP visit to AerSystems
Labour list MSP for South Scotland Carol Mochan visited Spirit AeroSystems in Prestwick as part of National Apprenticeship Week.
She took time to look around Spirit’s Europe campus, next to Prestwick International Airport, and spoke to a number of young people from the area who are training to become engineers and technicians.
Ms Mochan said:“It’s fantastic that we have such highly skilled quality industry and that companies like Spirit are bringing in young people from the region to learn vital skills and get started with their careers.
“I had a good chat with Chris, Ellis, and Nicole, who are all smart and enthusiastic about their new roles and cannot speak highly enough about what the opportunity to have an apprenticeship in a facility like this has done for them.”
