THE BRIG, Ayr

At just over £3 for a pint of Tennent’s, you can’t argue — and with 35ml measures of spirits... you certainly get bang for your buck at that amount of alcohol per drink.

A welcoming wee pub that has plenty of competition around it due to the location but it was a lovely experience chatting away to the regulars.

It’s a lot different to some other pubs on this list – but I can see why The Brig made the grade.
