With rampant inflation and the future rebuilding of Ukraine inevitably demanding already scarce building materials, we are heading for sure for another Holyrood style cost overrun.

And council leader Peter Henderson, I doubt 120,000 others will be minded to give you a blank cheque to pay for it. This pool adds no value. It destroys value. It is not sporting legacy. And Mr Henderson, perhaps instead of empty flag waving gestures and that crass blue and yellow embroidered mask favoured by your party leader, perhaps SAC should be offering Ukraine the scaffolding that is unnecessarily gracing the Station Hotel and costing council tax payers sometimes more than £60k a month! That’s £3/4m a year! £3/4m!
