Thought for the week..

There was a news report recently of a bottle being found on an Icelandic shore that had been put in the sea off Scotland by a child many years ago.

The message inside was intact and the finder was able to contact the sender, who is now grown up.

She must have wondered who the letter was from when it arrived with its Icelandic postage stamp!

Sometimes messages take a long time to be read even when they are in plain sight all along.

Many people have Bibles in their homes, Bibles that are never read. The Bible is a message from Almighty God who made us and who sent his Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins, to save us from ourselves. That’s the best of all news.

God’s Word, the Bible, tells us that it is‘a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.’May it shine light on your way too. (see Psalm 119:105)
