Signup forwater event
The Ayr Walks For Water event is being pencilled in for Sunday, May 8 and participants are being urged to take part.
The idea comes from long-standing member of the Rotary Club of Ayr, Alex Thomson, a veteran of many water projects, including one which involved a Malawian bore hole.
Alex came up with the idea of holding a sponsored walk along the promenade in Ayr to raise funds for Aquabox, a Rotarian water charity which provides instantaneous water solutions for disaster areas throughout the world.

Alex said: “On the walk website teachers can also find new educational resources on water developed by both Aquabox and Scottish Water.”
