Amateur group back at Gaiety

-

Ayrshire’s oldest established amateur dramatic group are back with their first performance post pandemic.

And Ayr Fort Players hope to have their audience in fits of laughter with their stellar show‘The Happiest Days of Your Life’, which takes to Ayr’s Gaiety Theatre on April 28, 29 and 30.

The fast-moving comedy, which will be raising funds for Cancer Research, takes place during World War II, when the all-girls school of St Swithins is accidentally relocated to Hilary Hall Boys School, after their school was demolished during the Blitz.

The two heads, Godfrey Pond and Evelyn Whitchurch, try to cope with the ensuing chaos of keeping their mixed-sex school a secret to avoid upsetting the parents.

Tickets, £9.50 to £16.50, can be purchased at: https://thegaiety.co.uk/ events/ the-happiest-days-of-your-life-ayrfort-players/
