JEMIMA THOMSON

-

Jemima Thomson said that one of the issues she has is the bickering between parties.

“I think there are far too many councillors in this area that are all fighting against one another,”she said.

“Someone will come up with a good idea but, because you are SNP, the Tory guy will go against you, then another person comes up with an idea but because you are Labour ..and so on.

“They can all talk the talk but very few of them can walk the walk. It filters down to the man on the street.”

Jemima criticised the facilities available for older people.

She added:“It is all good to talk about improving the town centre, but that is simple.

“What about for older people?

“I am coming up on 64, what does the town offer me?

“For the young ones the town has plenty to offer, it is full of life, but we are kind of forgotten.

She added that parking was a big issue: “People want to come to the town and spend their money, go down to the beach.

“But there is nowhere to park.”
