Drongan’s cup of joy
Bearded defender Stewart Kean is at the fore-font as Drongan United celebrate winning the Scottish Amateur Cup in 1985.
A huge turnout welcomed the team back to the village after they beat Motherwell Miners 2-1 in the final at Hampden with goals from Lex O’Hara and Martin Lynch. Stewart had his beard shaved off that night after pledging to grow it as long as Drongan stayed in the cup.
