Bus fares hiked by nearly 5 per cent

Bus passengers will have to fork out an extra 4.8 per cent for their journeys.

Stagecoach West Scotland confirmed it will add 4.8 per cent on average to their tickets from Sunday, May 8. The firm insist almost all the money received in fares goes towards paying for the day-to-day running of services and investing in improvements.
